Spring apparently hasn't sprung yet

Well, I wish I could help us start the week on a high-flying note. Unfortunately this week's going to be a chillier one...at least when you put it against this past weekend!

Temperatures will likely stay in the 50s this week (unless we break into warmer air with the approaching storm systems). The 6-10 Day Forecast from NOAA indicates Illinois has the highest probability of colder weather! How dare they!!! ;-)

Would the colder than normal mean highs in the 40s or just highs in the low 50s instead of mid to high 50s.

The average high for the time period in question (April 12-16) is 58/59°. I would say it could easily be a mix of upper 40s and low 50s. Also, remember the 6-10 day outlooks are generalizations over a relatively long period of time (5 days).
