Tornadoes in the South

Looks like a potential tornado outbreak unfolding in the South. Confirmed tornadoes on the ground, some injuries being reported already.
Update - Three fatalities now reported.
Update 2 - Sounds like there is going to be a lot of news coming out of these areas tomorrow. Picher, Oklahoma is reportedly "demolished." The storm that went through Stuttgart, Arkansas produced what may be a debris signature on the radar - indicating a potentially strong tornado struck the town.
Update 3 - At least six people killed in the town of Picher, Oklahoma.
Update 4 - Associated Press saying that at least 10 people are dead tornadoes in Oklahoma and Missouri.

The guys over at SevereStudios.com have a great site with streaming video and live radar analysis.

One of my friends was scheduled to go chasing in eastern Oklahoma today with Tim Samaras, who does tornado research for National Geographic during the springtime. If I get any news from him tonight, I'll pass it along.

If you're wondering about the Mother's Day forecast... my advice is to avoid spending time outside. It'll be rainy, blustery, and cold - a very raw day as we approach the middle of May.
