Update from the China Earthquake

Here's an E-Mail update from Jeff and Jenny Legue (Rockfordians living in China). Because of the country they are in, they must be careful when typing Christian references. You'll understand as you read on...

Dear Family and friends:
As many already know, Jeff left Thursday to the city of Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan where the earthquake occurred on Monday. He is on a team of 8 men in two 4-wheel drive vehicles with as many supplies as they could squeeze in. He called this morning at 7 AM and they are leaving Chengdu for the earthquake region (approx. 90 k. from Chengdu) this morning. He said the trip up , took longer, 24 hours, and the roads were bad. That's just getting to Chengdu!! He couldn't talk long or say much and he was intense. He said to please p--y for him and the team. I trust you will all do that and spread the word to other clubs and 'C's too. The devastation up there is huge and an aftershock of 5.5 was just in the last 24 hours!! They are finding people alive, if your following the news, which is encouraging. I'm guessing they will set up a medical help station, as doctors and supplies are with them. I know my husband, and he will roll up his shirtsleeves and do whatever comes to him to do. Lift him up and the team. Many other teams are leaving today from our area too. From what I hear, they need medicines and medical supplies up there and giving money to proper organizations as they become known is probably the best thing you can do to help, besides p--y!! I'll keep you posted as I know anything more.
IN J. Name,
Jenny Legue
